Kyiv diary – November 4, 2022 (Friday)

254 day of the war. Power cuts have become systematic and predictable. People bought up all kinds of lamps on batteries and charging via usb.

Our family stocked up with a powerful power bank and sleeping bags. There is a gas burner for camping + some stock of canned food.

Shutdowns occur in microdistricts – it is enough to walk 30 minutes on foot and you can get into an electrified area. Many small cafes continue to operate. They can be identified by the rattling of electric generators.

Only during the war comes the realization of how wonderful life was in Kyiv before the war.
